A: Renewing online is easy, click the Renew your Membership Tab above and complete the appropriate form.

Q: How do I update my address and other contact information?
A: Updating your contact information is easy, simply send an email outlining desired changes to email@example.com.
Q: Are there any discussion groups I can participate in?
A: Yes, we have multiple committees at your disposal. To learn more, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Is paying for my renewal online secure?
A: COSSA conducts secure and private credit card transactions using encrypted technology. COSSA accepts Discover, MasterCard, and VISA credit cards.
Q: Will I receive a separate receipt when renewing online?
A: All renewal payments will be reflected on your credit card billing statement, though if you need an additional written receipt simply contact us and we can provide one.
Q: Is my membership tax-deductible?
A: Dues and contributions may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses for Federal Income Tax purposes, though be sure to check with your tax accountant to review your specific situation. Dues and contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions. The tax deductibility of dues paid to COSSA as ordinary business expenses is subject to restrictions imposed as a result of lobbying activities. The portion devoted to lobbying is no longer deductible as a business expense. COSSA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your dues to be 33%. COSSA’s nonprofit federal tax ID number is: 84-1115955.

A: The COSSA membership year runs exactly one year from your sign-up.
Q: Does COSSA membership include SEIA membership?
A: No, each state chapter of SEIA is operated separately without funding from the national SEIA.
Q: Is COSSA membership refundable or transferable?
A: No, membership is non-refundable and non-transferable.
