Distribution Engineering Clerk

Salary

Hourly Rate: $24.34 – 30.37

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Windows environment requires one year of experience with Microsoft Office. Must be able to operate a PC compatible computer. The ability to operate other office machines is required. Competent with position-specific software (Windows environment). Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point). Prefer 6 months of experience with Schneider Designer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Distribution Engineering Director for the performance of highly skilled clerical duties related to work order processing and closeout.

Duties involve a wide range of clerical responsibilities which require the application of clearly pre­scribed directives, and procedures. Responsible for processing work orders and as-built documents association with engineering and construction projects.  Work includes updating spreadsheets, verifying invoices and change orders, and updating engineering designs within the Designer software. Performs normal clerical duties for the Engineering Department as needed. Prepares correspondence from the Distribution Engineering Director and other supervisory personnel within the department. Maintains office files, correspondence, reports and other matters for the department. Collects, assembles and types records and reports of a tabulating or statistical nature to be used by the Engineering Department. Maintains files for the Distribution Engineering Department which may consist of material of a confidential nature relative to the CORE’s business. Keeps a record of telephone calls received and visitors to the departments in the absence of the applicable personnel, and advises them as to the nature of these calls and visits. Prepares minutes taken at meetings as required by the managers, directors, or supervisors of each section. Coordinates and distributes documents related to the Standards Committee. Required to return to work in connection with call-outs and emergency situations when directed to do so by supervisor. Willing to work overtime if needed.
