Job Description
Empowered Energy Systems is looking for a lead sales representative for commercial and residential sales to support our company development. The ideal candidate will have solar sales and installation/technical experience, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop new commercial business and residential opportunities and create strong customer relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Cultivate leads through networking, attending local events, and analyzing the local market
- Perform site visits within Delta, Montrose, and Mesa Counties, including walking on roofs and climbing ladders, amongst other typical physical activities on a site visit
- Be comfortable inspecting electrical panels, systems, and wiring
- Support clients through the sales process to the installation process
- Conduct analysis of clients’ current and projected electrical usage and communicate viable options for beneficial rate changes
- Compose and present proposals for commercial and residential projects, and design residential and commercial PV systems
- Manage the collection and organization of all project documentation
- Help to ensure that all jurisdiction-specific requirements are met for each project
- Effectively communicate and guide prospects through Colorado C-PACE, RENU, REAP, and other loan options
- Compose and submit grant applications for REAP, NRCS, and other governmental programs as applicable
- Public presentations, developing presentation materials, PowerPoint, and handouts
- Stay current with industry best practices and new equipment
This role supports the installation team install systems when there is a need
Qualifications & Competencies
- Solar sales and/or solar installation experience
- Ability to design solar systems for Commercial and Residential sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Software
- Proficient at reading plans, specifications, drawings and bid documents
- Use of CAD Autodesign LT, Helioscope, or other similar design tools is a bonus
- Familiarity with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards as well as civil and structural technical knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands
- Excellent client service skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient understanding of the NEC, OSHA
- NABCEP certification highly desired, if not, the candidate needs to work towards this
- Clean driver’s license
- Own vehicle, ideally with 4×4 or AWD
- Strong phone service across Delta County
