Job Title: Lead PV Solar Installer

Summary

The overall goal of the Lead PV Installer is to achieve completion of projects with the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency while ensuring conformance with the system plans and specifications.  Applicants with no solar experience will not be considered for this role.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous solar installation experience on roof- and ground-mounted PV systems.
  • NABCEP Certification and OSHA 10/30 are strongly preferred
  • Must have full range of motion in upper and lower body and the ability to work in various positions & environments. This includes, but is not limited to: stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time in high and low temperatures
  • Rooftop work is a significant part of the job, so being able to work safely and efficiently off the ground is required
  • Ability to lift, pull and push materials and equipment weighing approximately 50 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to think on your feet, make adjustments & decisions in the field as required
  • Professional appearance and customer service skills
  • Ability to plan, route and bend metallic and PVC conduit
  • Hard working attitude, reliability and attention to detail
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Primary Tasks:

  • Build projects according to design package and company policies, with an eye to safety, quality and longevity
  • Discuss design alterations with Project Manager and red-line drawing sets with approved changes
  • Communicate with stakeholders professionally, considerately, and respectfully
  • Correctly complete required paperwork & documentation including (but not limited to): photos, system labeling, safety documentation, testing charts & time sheets

Compensation:

  • $TBD/hr depending on experience
  • 90-day review, annual performance evaluations thereafter
